Jade Vaughan
Mezzo-soprano - Patricia Green Studio
Jade Vaughan is a mezzo-soprano originally from Baltimore, Maryland. Operatic performances include the roles of Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito, Un Pâtre, La Chatte, and L’Écureuil in L’Enfant et les Sortileges, Sally in A Hand of Bridge, and the Announcer in Douglas Moore’s Gallantry. Last fall she performed Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica with UWO Opera. She has performed in the United States, Canada, and France in operas, art song recitals, and has premiered new works. This past spring she performed the title role in, UWO alumnus, Colin McMahon’s opera Antoinette. Jade has also worked with musicians and artists such as Joan Patenaude-Yarnell, Ruth Drucker, Tom Diamond, Alan Glassman, and Joan Morris and William Bolcom. She received her Bachelor of Arts at University of Maryland Baltimore County under Dr. Lorriana Markovic and is currently a graduate student at University of Western Ontario under Patricia Green.
