Elizabeth Zuwala
Soprano - Todd Wieczorek Studio
Soprano Elizabeth Zuwala is in the final year of her Masters of Music in vocal literature and performance at Western University, studying with Dr. Todd Wieczorek. She hails from Brantford Ontario, where she grew up singing in her local Kiwanis Music Festival in Music Theatre and Classical Voice, competing provincially in each twice. She also danced competitively until she realized that she could sing and dance in musicals at school. Elizabeth was dance captain of musicals such as FAME!, Guys and Dolls, and Godspell. She earned her Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Voice at the University of Windsor, graduating with distinction under the tutelage of Lesley Andrew.
Elizabeth’s operatic credits include Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni (AEDO), and Mistress of Novices, and Nursing Sister in Puccini’s Suor Angelica (Western, and uWindsor, respectively). She has performed in many concerts, including the operatic scenes gala at COAA 2017, Western’s Opera Gala 2016, Janáček’s Diary of one who Disappeared in concert as first female voice with the Jeffery Concerts series in London, ON, and The Tenors PBS special Under One Sky.
