Catherine Dupressoir

Catherine Dupressoir was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She recently graduated from the Undergraduate Voice Performance Program at McGill University's Schulich School of Music. She studied with Prof. Stefano Algieri and with musical coach Louise Pelletier. While at McGill University she performed with the Schulich School Singers, Early Music Ensemble and Contemporary Music Ensemble. She was a member of the Dean's Honour List (3.99 GPA) at McGill University. She recently sang the role of Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen at the Summer Halifax Opera Festival. She started her Masters this year at Western University in the Literature and Performance Program. She is excited to be a part of the Carmen cast. She will also be performing in the Gala Concert in March and with the Contemporary Music Studio. Catherine is fluent in English and French, and has a working knowledge of German, Italian and Russian.
