Anna Macdonald recently performed the title role of Alcina (Accademia Europea dell’Opera) in Lucca, Italy. She has also performed the feature role of Mascha in The Chocolate Soldier (Toronto Operetta Theatre), Erste Dame in Die Zauberflote (UWOpera), Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare (Summer Opera Lyric Theatre), Nita in the Canadian Premiere of Los Gavilanes (Toronto Operetta Theatre) and Janthe in Der Vampyr (Summer Opera Lyric Theatre). 
Anna has performed Lieschen in Bach’s Coffee Cantata (Western University Faculty Concert Series), and has been a soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah (Metropolitan United Church) and in Bach’s Christ Lag in Todesbanden (McGill Baroque Orchestra). 
Last year, she won 2nd place in the London Music Scholarship Foundation.  She is currently working towards her Masters of Music in Voice Performance and Literature at Western University. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from McGill University, where she was the recipient of the the “Mariana Paunova and Stefano Algieri Scholarship in Voice”.
